I rent a home in Hampton Roads and need a blood cleanup what are my options?
I rent a home in Hampton Roads and need a blood cleanup what are my options?
If you have experienced a accident in the home you rent call Aftercare to assist you in the cleanup process. Removing all bio-hazardous waste immediately is the most important step. The longer the contamination is there the more damage it will cause. Blood can run into the walls, floors or any type of material resulting in large losses.
Does my renters insurance cover blood cleanup loss?
Aftercare is ask this question often. The answer depends on the type of renters policy you have. General renters policies are designed to pay for the loss of a renters personal effects. This would be items like a TV, couch, bed or clothing. This type of policy might help you if you lose personal effects due to the loss of contamination. When cleaning up after a crime scene, accidental death or blood loss some items cannot be cleaned; they must be disposed of. Aftercare strives to save as much personal effects as possible; however some things cannot be saved. There are some renters policies that cover structural damage. This coverage would be more expensive and protects the landlords property. Coverage of this type would include situations like carpet replacement, painting, flooring, drywall and cleanup cost. Renters policies vary by company if you have a policy call and ask how your coverage can assist you.
What if I don't have renters insurance?
Aftercare can still help you if you do not have insurance. We have several programs that might be able to assist you with the cost of cleaning. We can also give you a no insurance discount to bring the cleanup and disposal cost to a affordable range. Last but not least most likely the owner of the house will carry a home owners insurance coverage. By calling and explaining the situation you can ask to use that coverage to pay for cleanup and damage replacement. There will be a deductible if you offer to pay that amount the cleanup should be covered.

Blood contamination cleanup in Vehicle, Automobile, Car, Truck, SUV ( Eastern Virginia Cities) (757) 535-4367
Many factors come into play when you face a blood cleanup in a
vehicle. If you find that your automobile is contaminated with blood or
filth you should have a professional clean it as soon as possible. Until
you find a company to clean it make sure you park it out of the sun.
Heat will cause more damage to the interior. As the temperature rises
the blood will start to break down and create odor that will enter into
the entire structure. Do not leave the windows open this will allow
insects to lay eggs inside. If you have a broken window use plastic to
cover it if you allow rain to flood the contamination it will spread and
create more expense to clean it. Age of the vehicle will determine what
your insurance company will do. Newer vehicles will be cleaned and
repaired older will probably be considered a total loss. If you just
have liability coverage you will get no help from insurance. AFTERCARE
has been removing blood and bio hazards from cars, trucks, boats and
police vehicles since 1999. Call us today and we will go to your vehicle
and give you a free estimate and plan to decontaminate any situation. (757) 535-4367

Local Crime Scene Clean Up (757) 535-4367
All good things must come to a end. The crime scene cleanup industry has changed. This once under established niche is now over saturated with companies who have very little experience cleaning up blood.I don't mind a little healthy competition however I see greed more than professionalism. I have been cleaning up crime scenes in the Hampton roads , Virginia area for over 15 years and have seen unbelievable things. Aftercare only cleans within a 2 hour arrival time area. This means if I can't arrive to a family within 2 hours we don't serve that city or county. This does not matter to most other companies who advertise in all areas of the united states. How can you offer service for a state if you don't have a location there? Most of the companies that advertise in my area on the Internet operate in other states. This means some of these bio hazard cleaning companies take your call tell you they can clean for you and then start looking for anyone in that area to go and clean for them. This is unprofessional and ineffective. The cost is going to be triple what a local crime scene company would charge. Aftercare has seen first hand that these out of state companies don't care who they send to a families home. Criminals, inexperienced workers, unprofessional staff are the reports that we are getting when Aftercare comes in behind to cleanup what they could not do properly. I received a call from a young lady the other night crying and angry. She asked if I could come out and give her a price on a crime scene at her families home. When I arrived I saw the large area of blood and immediately gave her a price of 1,000 dollars because she explained they had no insurance. She quickly told me we had the job and could we start now. I told her yes but as I looked around the scene I noticed used bio-hazard suits laying on the floor and on the couch bloody gloves thrown about. I asked her had she attempted to do the cleanup herself? She told me no they had called another company( who I will not name) I refuse to give them any publicity. They arrived late 3 hours after they were called. The cleaners explained nothing to her and started cleaning. 30 min after they started the homeowner asked how much they were going to charge? The man in charge told her 17,000 dollars. When she told them she could not afford that they threw there contaminated suits on her floor and pitched there bloody gloves on the way out of her home. This is the new face of the blood cleanup industry. Families should not have to experience this type of unprofessional and unethical business practice. Please look for local phone numbers when choosing a crime scene cleanup company. Call a local funeral home and ask for a reputable cleanup business. Check the Internet for complaints. This industry is full of get rich quick operators who don't care about families. Don't let them take advantage of a bad situation this just adds more grief to you and your family. Aftercare cleans up any type of blood related waste in all of eastern Virginia give us a call and we will help you in any way we possible can. (757) 535-4367

Aftercare cleans up after suicide in Franklin, Williamsburg and Richmond, Virginia
My
dear friend,
How
I hate you right now! You stole future memories and plans I had for our
friendship. That trip to Mexico for the
summer or our snow trip to Austria. Who
will come with me now? There is just a void now in the space of my life that
you once filled. I keep thinking why didn’t’ I do something, anything but what
could I do? You were smiling one day and
gone the next. I never knew just how much your smile was a mask covering the
pain deep inside your soul. Why didn’t’ you tell me? I could have helped, couldn’t’ I.
Was I never that good of a friend that you couldn’t’ tell me that you were hurting? Did I contribute to your hurt? I will never know the answers to any of my
questions and that is why I hate you! Your suicide has left me questioning
everything I thought I could count on.
Please come back.
Love
always your friend on earth.
Sometimes
there are no answers to ‘why’.
The death of a loved one by suicide is one of the hardest deaths to
grieve and understand. You don’t Just ‘get over’ a suicide. The grief
of a suicide can take years to process and the hurt may never be
forgotten. There is no letter from
heaven explaining why and even if there was, the answers may never help.
The
process of grief after suicide is a slow inch by inch process. The period of mourning and grief is different
for each person and there is no universal scale or measure on how long or
intense that pain will be. Once the
initial shock has subsided the range of emotions and feelings is
extensive. You may experience the
following:
• Shock,
numbness, denial
• Guilt
• Anger/blame
• Des pair
• Loneliness
and disconnection
• Depression
• Shame
• Searching
for the reasons ‘why?’
• Thoughts
of suicide yourself
Be gentle with yourself during the
grieving processing and take each day as they come by:
• Keep
in touch with friends and accept support - counter the feelings loneliness and
isolation associated with grief
• Honor
the deceased person - Talk about the memories, share photos and memories or
keep a journal
• Take
‘your’ time
- It is OK to do something nice for yourself while you grieve, get a massage or
even a day at the beach
• Ask
for help if you are struggling - Seek professional help and speak with family
and friends for support and ways to cope.
• Look
after yourself - Ensure you eat well, get some exercise and sleep. Try to avoid drugs and alcohol which will
only compound the grief.
• Join
a support group - Talking with others who have shared similar experiences will
help you not feel alone in your experience.
The
journey through the grief of the lose of a loved one is a gradual process and
can lead to a deeper understanding of life and your own humanness. The grief slowly gets integrated into life.
