Protecting others from the norovirus is important as it can spread dramatically and quickly through public and private areas. The infected person can contaminate bathrooms, work areas, hand rails, door knobs and light switches as they walk through any area. This infection causes almost 200,000 deaths every year!

It can spread by:

-          Drinking or eating anything infected with norovirus
-          Touching any object or surface contaminated with norovirus and then putting hand or fingers in mouth or eating food with contaminated hands
-          Direct contact with norovirus infected person, e.g. while working around them or sharing items with them. (phones, key boards or desks)

How to clear Norovirus at work place

Good hygiene helps in avoiding norovirus along with various other infections. Only one person infected with norovirus at a work place can lead to a spread if not taken care of properly!

Steps to eliminate norovirus from workplace include:

-          Promote hygienic practices like:
o   Washing hands after using toilet
o   Washing hands before eating
o   Disposing off contaminated items properly
-          Hand sanitizer should be in all work areas
-          Give a leave to anyone having norovirus so that not only they can recover well but also to stop transmission of infection to others
-          Disinfect and clean the floors and surfaces with detergent and chlorine bleach after someone at work place is found to have norovirus infection (757) 535-4367

Norovirus can survive for weeks on a hard surface and therefore care should be taken to prevent the spread of its infection!

MRSA Disinfection and Decontamination Cleaning in Suffolk,Hampton,Chesapeake,VA.

Human blood and body fluids has the ability to spread infectious diseases like AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and more.  MRSA is yet another serious infection that affected over 1lakh people in US back in 2010 and killed almost 20,000 people in the same year.

Are you familiar with MRSA?
MRSA refers to methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus, which is an antibiotic resistant strain of staph. Although it has been around since 1960 but still it is a major concern and challenge to doctors and medical professionals because of its resistance to antibiotics and other types of standard treatments. The best way to deal with MRSA is to avoid it and prevent its contamination.

Danger Of Being Exposed To An Area Contaminated With MRSA?
The biggest danger of being exposed to areas and people contaminated with MRSA is that it is highly communicable and can be epidemic. If not cleaned properly, MRSA is a staph infection that can be quite deadly. The infection if left untreated can spread to lungs and blood leading to potentially life threatening diseases.

MRSA spreads not just by means of blood. Even physical contact with the person having infection can make you MRSA infected. Sharing towels, razors, water bottles and even surfaces with infected person can make you infected with MRSA.

How to Disinfect Your Home or Workplace TO Reduce MRSA Transmission?
To reduce MRSA transmissions from infected persons, CDC recommends cleaning and disinfecting surfaces that are likely to come in contact with you be it your chair, bed, dinning table or else. CDC recommends that you should use detergent based cleaners or Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) disinfectants to reduce MRSA transmission. So, it’s important that you read the label thoroughly to check the validity of disinfectant to reduce MSRA transmissions.

Similarly, you should use only EPA registered products to treat MSRA infections. Never try to use EPA cleaners and disinfectants to treat infections.

Role of MRSA or Crime Scene Cleaners in Reducing MRSA Infections
Do you know? Even successful treatment of individual having MRSA infection will not ensure the safety of other people inhabiting in the same vicinity. Thus, it is vital that if someone in your school, staff or home had the infection, an MRSA (or crime scene) cleaning company should be called immediately to sterilize and decontaminate the location thoroughly.

Unfortunately, mortality rate in case of MRSA infections is just 4-10%. So, it would be extremely unwise if you try to avoid hiring reliable MRSA or crime scene cleaners to sterilize the contaminated area thoroughly. Patients suffering from diabetes tend to get infected with MRSA more easily and early than the others. Thus, if someone in your apartment building or workplace has MRSA infection or had it recently, you should call a professional and well established MRSA or crime scene cleaner without any hesitation. This is the only way to destroy the infectious bacteria and prevent the single MRSA infection from turning to an epidemic.

Animal Waste Cleaning Services Norfolk, Williamsburg, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, VA

Do you have a pet contamination problem and need clean up?

The landlord called us and sounded upset. He had animal control at his rental house and they had already removed seven cats. His tenants were not to have any pets according to the lease. When we pulled up at the house the owner was waiting for us. I need a estimate for removal of Urine soaked carpet he asks. Aftercare does many Cleanups each year dealing with animal waste contamination issues. The ammonia smell was overwhelming you could smell it from outside. Do you have any masks he asked? Sure no problem as we put on our yellow tyvek protection suits. The two story home is large ; as we enter we see huge piles of trash littered across the floors. The urine smell makes it's way through my mask. My nose runs as i can do nothing but deal with it. Feces paints the carpet wall to wall like a giant chocolate smear. Its very clear animals have had there way with this residence. I look down at my shoes i notice they are black what is that grease? As I move my hand down to check; nope not grease, Fleas ! The house is infested with fleas. I hate fleas they stowaway on you making their way back to your vehicle. They to are trying to escape the horrible conditions of this house. I just don't want them to find their way into my house. We make our way deeper into the home. As we walk you can see the carpets are soaked as if there was a flood in the house but this is not water it is urine. Squish, squish with every step. As I turn around to talk with the landlord I noticed he ran back out the front door. To much for some folks; not us. We can do this! My guys are ready to start now. I head back outside to talk to our client; OK here's what needs to be done. Aftercare will bring in 4 technicians; we will provide all safety equipment to complete the entire job. We will drop a 40 cubic dumpster and remove all trash throughout the house. All carpet and pad will be removed and disposed of. All toilets and vanities will be removed and thrown away due to the contamination. Next we will scrub all hard surfaces down with a hospital strength disinfectant. After we sanitize we will go back with an odor enzyme in the form of a fog; this will reach all areas of the house. The floors will need to be sealed and all walls painted with sealer. This should end the problem. The landlord asks when can you start?
Aftercare works with landlords, property managers, business owners and Realtors every month. Together we always come up with a plan to return the worst damage back to a livable condition. Do you need a extreme cleaning due to animal feces?  Call Aftercare, we can help!                                                      (757) 535-4367
